Grant Writing & Federal Relations

The Winston/Terrell Group has worked with its clients to secure public and private sector grants to support their needs.  Our knowledge of federal programs and solid working relationships.

  • Conducted advocacy trainings for a variety of non-profit organizations in Indiana. 

  • Assisted Indiana communities on securing $11M for programs to support affordable housing, wastewater systems upgrades, park improvements and expansion, streetscape enhancements and historic preservation.

  • Conducted statewide study that was the precursor in the receipt of $27 million in federal funds to assist on combatting bioterrorism.  

  • Secured support for a client to design facilities for a state’s National Guard. 

  • Coordinated public referendum efforts to support a major community event center.  

  • Helped secure federal housing grants for programmatic improvements.        

  • Via open procurement, assisted a client with securing design work on various public projects.  

  • Secured federal funding for Brownfields Job Training.           

  • Wrote a successful federal grant for placement of 49 new firefighters.          

  • Helped secure funding for defibrillators for first responders.

  • Helped secure federal funding to establish revolving loan programs for small businesses.      

  • Secured private sector funding to defray the cost of equipment and protective gear for firefighters and police officers.  

  • Helped secure federal funding for wind turbines on transportation facilities.

  • Secured federal funding for improvements to a community’s water treatment system.          

  • $2,400,000.00 funding secured for adapted reuse of a railroad depot.

  • Worked with federal officials to secure funding for energy efficiency lighting and sensors upgrades.  

  • Secured federal funding for infrastructure improvements to support economic development.  

  • Funding secured for renovations to facility used for drug and alcohol abuse treatment.
